Tom Hearn Brings Us SLANG: A Solo Sketch Show 21 Jul 2019. -
Queer Canadian comedy award winner Tom Hearn is back on tour with a remount of SLANG, a solo sketch comedy showcase dubbed the “Gay Bar Tour.” The show features original characters, parody songs, impressions, dancers, singing, the band The Hazard Play, drag performances by Priyanka Love, satire and of course, Tom Hearn.
Tom is a comedian, writer, producer and regular at The Bad Dog Theatre Company, Sunday Night Livewith the The Sketchersons and MILK Comedy. He is also the creator of the sold-out Proud + Funny Festival, the 420 Comedy Festivaland the queer sketch revue A Sketch Comedy Extravaganza Eleganza which was named one of the Top Five Comedy shows of 2018 by NOW magazine, won the Canadian Comedy Awards for Best Live Production and earned a glowing review from MyGayToronto (read it here).
Tom also produces and plays in Kinsey Fail, Toronto’s only queer improv ensemble and the award winning touring duo Tom & Erica. A member of the Family Co (Improv Showdown) and Tour Co Understudy at Second City. He has also been featured on Funny Or Die’s Best of the Web for his sketch “10/17”. He is currently on tour with SLANG with dates in Edmonton, Toronto, Charlottetown, Halifax and The Fundy Fringe Festival. Catch him for two shows in Toronto this August, before he takes his unique brand of over-the-top funny back on the road! Not to be missed.
