Can you imagine an organization whose sole purpose was to watch literally every movie and TV show on earth just to locate the scenes where the actors take off their clothes? Of course such an organization does exist, and it is called Mr Skin. It was founded in 1999 by a perv named Jim McBride, and if Gwyneth or Charlize or Meryl ever flashed a tit in some show, these guys found it for you. Then in 2013 McBride created the companion site Mr Man, ostensibly for women but subscribed to equally by gay men.
Each year, the website lists some of the best nude scenes from that year’s crop. This year’s winners of what they call The Manatomy Awards include:
the shirtless car wash scene and the locker room scene from Riverdale
Zac Efron stripping off as Ted Bundy
Shawn Mendes nobly filling a pair of tighty whiteys in a Calvin Klein ad
Ricky Whittles in American Gods, singled out for Best Ass, but he could win Best Everything
the hung bald blue dude from Watchmen
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who showers in A Million Little Pieces and lives up to his last name
the white guy from Midsommar
the kiss from Rocketman
and featuring a Lifetime Achievement Award for Daniel Craig, who early in his career showed his dick in a bathtub scene.
The winner of Best Picture was the French film Sauvage, starring the very cute Felix Maritaud as a hustler. The press release also mentions “the iconic 21-member full frontal scene in Euphoria,” which I have not yet seen, but clearly will have to, even if it means watching every stupid episode.
Thanks to Mr Man, my interest in cinema is expanding.
