El-Husseini To Headline At Yuk Yuk's 26 February 2018.
A Canadian, a Palestinian, a Muslim, and a lesbian walk into a bar…
While it may sound like the start of a joke, it's actually the labels Eman El-Husseini uses to describe herself and she explores each one in her routine as way to entertain, educate and give the audience an access point into her humanity. Her stories are as fresh as her insights about life, love, sexuality. Since her comedy debut in 2006, Eman El-Husseini has racked up an impressive list of credits. Travelling across Canada, the US and the Middle East she covers a wide range of topics, from how lesbians are the new gentlemen, to her parents' wedding anniversary landing on September 11th.
Originally from Montreal, Eman now lives in New York City and has appeared at numerous festivals including, New York Arab America Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs, Ha!ifax Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival as well as the Comedy Network and the CBC's The Debaters. Dubbed "The Queen of Montreal Comedy," she has opened for Patton Oswalt, and recently recorded the comedy album, Unveiled, which can be heard regularly on SiriusXM Radio.
